'93 - '94 model year notes - THANKS! to Ari
Ari Novis' mid-model year notes:
In '93 and '94, there is a lot of confusion. CS and CSE referred
entirely to trim packages. CS was 'base', and the CSE came standard with
all the good stuff like leather, power seats, sunroof, etc. But you could
option-up a CS to make it like a CSE - add a sunroof but leave out the power
seats, etc.
There were only two engines available - NA and Turbo. You could order a
CS or CSE with either one. So you could have a CSE with every option known
to man, yet with the 146 HP NA engine. Or get a CS with fabric manual
seats, no sunroof, and the 200 HP/238lbft turbo engine!
The Aero came with all the CSE options, plus the 225 hp / 258 lb-ft engine.
The Aero package added the fancy Aero seats, some suspension upgrades, and
outside trim. The 225 hp/238 lb-ft on the Aero was only available with the
manual tranny - Automatic Aeros got the 200 hp/238 turbo engine.
