The feed cable to the terminal block is way too long, but it was the shortest I could find. It was black, so I covered it with red heat shrink to denote it being a power cable. The heavier gauge more than overcomes any added resistance due to extra length.
Since my battery is a bit taller than stock, I hollowed out a piece of pink styrofoam and use it to make sure the terminal can't contact the hood. As a general rule I like having the battery hot terminal covered up.
