Materials needed: A six foot 4x4. 2x4 scraps. Four lag bolts, 1/4" x 5" . A 1/2" x 8" eyebolt, nut and washer.
Cut a 4x4 to a length of 56 inches. Cut a couple of short lengths of 2 X 4 (4 inches long or so). Use lag bolts to attach the 2x4 pieces to the ends of the 4x4 (recess the heads of the bolts). Place the beam assembly onto the fender rails, then mark the position where the eye bolt should go (to align with the center-most engine lifting eye). Drill the 4x4 to accept the eye bolt. Use a hammer and chisel or hammer and screwdriver to force the loop of the eye bolt open just enough so it can be slipped onto the engine lifting eye.
The riser blocks sit on the fender rails.
The eye hook suspends the engine by the center lifting eye.
