Screw-up checklist           

Shifter coupler nuts tight?  (Quick visual check should be OK)

Speedo cable connected?

Trans -to-engine bolts/nuts tight?

• 19mm nut and bolt at the bottom front
• 15mm bolt at bottom rear
• 15mm bolt below the starter
• 19mm nuts at the top front and center
• Starter nuts

Tripode joint boot clamped tight?

• You did put grease in it, right?

Subframe pivot bolts tight?

Sway bar bracket and link connections tight?

Ball joint pinch bolt tight?

Trans mount bolt tight?

Reverse light switch connected?

Turbo delivery pipe connections

• At throttle body
• At intercooler (from beneath the car) - check carefully
• At turbo bypass valve
• Temperature probe electrical connection

AMM connected electrically?

No air leaks; alignment OK; clamps secured

• You did reinstall the air cleaner element, didn't you?

All cables reconnected to terminal block on battery holder?

Check top of the engine for loose components

• PCV stuff and vacuum grommets and hoses

Um, that transmission does have oil in it, doesn't it?
